You Deserve to Talk to an Actual Person
Call most insurance agencies today and you already know what happens. A phone tree makes you press a number, then another number, then puts you on hold with music that was recorded sometime in the last decade. If you do reach a person, there is a real chance they are working from a call center overseas, reading from a script, with no idea where the Hudson Valley even is.
That is not how we do things.
Real People, Doing the Real Work
Every person you talk to at Curabba Agency works out of our office. Not a call center. Not an offshore virtual assistant answering emails under someone else’s name. A real person, sitting in Middletown, who knows this agency and this community.
We use AI and automation too. We are not against technology. But here, it stays in its place, behind the scenes, helping us work faster and more accurately so we can spend more time actually serving you. It does not replace the person on the other end of the phone. It does not write your emails for you or pretend to be someone it is not. When you call or walk through our door, you are getting a person, not a program.
We Give You Space to Think
We are not going to blow up your phone with calls, texts, and emails the moment you ask for a quote.
This is how we actually work. We get the information we need from you, usually with one phone call or email. We put together your quotes and walk you through them clearly, so you understand exactly what you are looking at and why. Then we leave you alone.
Buying insurance is a decision, not an impulse purchase. You need a few days to think it over, compare it against what you already have, maybe talk it over with a spouse or a business partner. So we give you that room. After a few days, we follow up, once, to see where your head is at and answer any new questions.
If you want someone to pressure you into signing on the spot, we are probably not the right agency for you, and that is okay. We would rather you take the time to make the right decision than feel rushed into one.
No daily check-ins disguised as “just following up.” No feeling like you gave your phone number to a used car lot.
We Would Rather Protect You Than Just Get Paid
Any agent can write you a policy. Selling something is easy. The harder job, the one that actually matters, is making sure what we sell you would actually be there for you if something went wrong.
We do not measure success by how many policies we write. We measure it by how many of our clients are actually protected when they need to be. We ask the questions other agents skip. We point out the gap in your coverage even when it is not the easy sale. We tell you when something you already have is not enough, even if that conversation is uncomfortable.
Sometimes it also means telling you the opposite. If we look at what you already have and it is genuinely solid, we will say so. We are not going to manufacture a reason to change your coverage just to make a sale. At that point, the only real reason to move your business to us is if you simply want a different agency to work with, and that is a perfectly good reason on its own.
Getting paid is what happens when we do this job right. It is not the goal. The goal is you, standing in your kitchen after a bad day, finding out that the policy we sold you actually does what it was supposed to do.
We Treat You the Way We Would Want to Be Treated
None of this is complicated. We work the way we would want an agency to work with us. Real people picking up the phone. Technology used to help, not to replace. Enough room to make a good decision without being chased down while you make it.
Treating people the way you would want to be treated is not a marketing strategy. It is just the right way to run a business, and it is one we happen to love running. We have been doing it this way for 80 years, and we are not planning on changing now.
Questions People Ask Us
Do you have chatbots or automated phone menus? No. There are no chatbots on our website and no phone tree when you call. Every conversation is with a real person working out of our Middletown office.
Will I be pressured to buy on the spot? No. We gather what we need in one call or email, walk you through your options clearly, then leave you alone to think it over. We follow up once, a few days later, and that is it.
Do you use AI at all? Yes, behind the scenes, for things like document review and administrative work. It does not talk to clients, write your emails, or make recommendations on your behalf.
Will you ever tell me my current coverage is already good? Yes. If what you have is genuinely solid, we say so, even when there is no sale in it for us. See Who We Are for more on how we got here and why that matters to us, or How We Work for the step-by-step version of what actually happens when you call us.
We’ve been doing business this way in the Hudson Valley for over 80 years. If you want to talk to a real person about your coverage, call us. No phone tree, no pressure, just a straight answer.
